ARS DOCENDI RECOGNITION AWARD TO MCI

The Entrepreneurial University® can be pleased about another award: Among the 31 submissions in the category "Learning Outcomes-Oriented Teaching and Examination Culture", the MCI project "SDG Practice Project Semester" made it to the " TOP 3" and thus received the "Ars Docendi Recognition Award". The award was accepted on behalf of Jolanda Baur, Lukas Kerschbaumer and Renate Windbichler.

In the course of the project, which represents the practice-oriented part of the MCI Bachelor's programme Nonprofit, Social & Health Management, an entire semester was designed with a learning outcomes-oriented teaching and examination culture. The focus is on networking students and partner organisations to solve real problems against the background of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). The students work in small groups and are always accompanied by practice partners as well as external and internal lecturers. In this way, students benefit from the high level of practical relevance and awareness-raising of global and local challenges, while practice partners can actively implement the results generated.

In the eyes of the jury, the project stands out in particular for its exemplary teamwork and professional handling of an extensive and cultivated network of practice partners: "In an exemplary way, intensive internal cooperation and organisational coordination of the lecturers is combined here with sophisticated partner logistics from the practice areas and a student-centred approach with a high level of joint exchange."
