24h TROPHY Saisonstart in der Outdoorregion Imst

Updated 30.05.2022

Between June and October, it's once again: 7 destinations - 22 tours - 920 kilometres and 41,317 metres of altitude. In the outdoor region of Imst, long-term hikers can look forward to three tours from 17 to 19 June and find out about new equipment at the outdoor SUMMIT taking place at the same time or try out one of the many outdoor sports.

Depending on your physical condition and motivation, you can choose between three tours of 6, 12 or 24 hours. This is what awaits all hikers: an emotional community experience, impressive nature and breaks with regional products in huts or at refreshment stations along the way.

The start is in Hoch-Imst, with the 12- or 24-hour routes offering impressive panoramic and summit experiences. The SunOrama viewing platform is suitable for a meditative break, while the ridge hike on the 2,358-metre Tschirgantgrat is reserved for the 24-hour hikers. All tours are accompanied by experienced guides who are familiar with the area, so hikers can concentrate entirely on themselves or exchange ideas with like-minded people. The route descriptions and the respective requirements for endurance and skill are described in detail on the 24h Trophy website.

For organiser Toni Grassl from Berchtesgaden, himself a trained mountain guide, a conscious approach to nature is a matter of course: "We are out and about in nature with our event, often also in protected areas. That's why we attach importance to waste avoidance and separation, we reduce printed matter and largely do without plastic at the catering stations." Grassl was able to win Deutsche Bahn as a partner for the event series, which enables climate-friendly travel to all event locations. In addition, from this season onwards, the CO² emissions per person will be calculated and neutralised through financial support for a climate protection programme in Nepal.
