#wirsindKITZBÜHEL bears further fruit

The branding process launched by Kitzbühel Tourism in March 2021 with over 70 people is already in full implementation. After the PURA VIDA event series of young Kitzbühel entrepreneurs this summer, KITZ Kulinarik x Piemont provided another milestone in the concrete implementation of the set action priorities.

Kitzbühel meets Piedmont

As a second output and quick-win from the numerous workshops, the project KITZ Kulinarik x Piemont was created in cooperation with the initiator Jürgen Kleinhappl. From Thursday 14 to Sunday 17 October, the first-ever gourmet market was held in the park in glorious autumn weather and sunshine with delicacies from both gourmet regions. Around 6,000 people enjoyed the Italian atmosphere in the Gamsstadt on these days and tasted truffle specialities, hazelnut variations as well as selected wines and spirits from the Piedmont region. "Top quality and the creation of new taste experiences were our top priorities. We focused on delicacies from the Kitzbühel and Alba regions and refined them with truffles," says Jürgen Kleinhappl, gastronomic director of the Harisch Hotels.

After the start of the culinary autumn with KITZ Kulinarik at the beginning of September, the new innovative concept was also a complete success. Giuseppe Perna from Ivents Kulturagentur in Graz, as co-organiser, was extremely satisfied with the first implementation of the joint event. Talks about a continuation and expansion next year are already underway.

The Future Image of Kitzbühel

Launched in March after an open call for proposals, more than 50 participants have worked on the future image of Kitzbühel Tourism in numerous online and small group meetings. At the last meeting of the Supervisory Board at the beginning of October, a unanimous signal was given for the concrete implementation of this vision of the future. The Supervisory Board of Kitzbühel Tourism is fully behind this initiative because this vision has grown out of Kitzbühel and was developed jointly by the representatives of various stakeholders. The next steps will be a comprehensive presentation of the contents in various committees, and an official presentation of the contents is also planned.

Kitzbühel Tourism Managing Director Dr. Viktoria Veider-Walser is pleased about the numerous and creative commitment of the members and the positive response: "The first implementations after a very short time are a confirmation of the brand building process and the co-creative approach in product development. We will continue such successful concepts in the future and plan further innovative formats with a common appreciative cooperation."

A central field of action from the developed concept describes the topic of culinary delights, which already occupies a special position with its extensive range of offers. Based on the output from the meetings, Kitzbühel Tourism additionally positioned this as a central theme for autumn in order to create a focus with qualitative activities. As part of the campaign "Culinary #Genussmomente im Kitzbüheler Herbst" (Culinary #EnjoymentMoments in Kitzbühel Autumn), a specially created enjoyment map was created with videos, pictures and texts for all participating establishments.
