At last: the comeback of winter fun on the Arlberg

Now it's official: St. Anton am Arlberg/Tyrol and its ski resort can start the winter season on 13 December 2021. "We are grateful and can hardly wait to finally be able to live out our greatest passion again - that of being hosts," says Martin Ebster, Tourism Director of St. Anton am Arlberg. The resort is only open to people who have been vaccinated and have recovered. Not only the ski area, but also hotels, restaurants and all public transport can only be used with a valid 2G certificate. In Austria, masks are also mandatory in all enclosed spaces. In the cradle of alpine skiing, holidaymakers can look forward to more than 300 kilometres of marked slopes and 200 kilometres of off-piste variants. Even before skiing, snowboarding, cross-country skiing, tobogganing and winter hiking, the safety of guests is the top priority, information on the current measures can be found here. www.stantonamarlberg.com

About St. Anton am Arlberg. St. Anton am Arlberg is one of the most renowned winter sports resorts in the world. Every year, piste and freeride fans from more than 50 nations visit the mountain village and its ski area with a total of more than 300 kilometres of marked runs, 200 kilometres of off-piste variants and 88 lifts and cable cars. The Arlberg Arena stretches from St. Anton in Tyrol via Lech and Zürs to Warth and Schröcken in Vorarlberg. Cross-country skiing, winter hiking or a ride on one of the region's five winding toboggan runs are just as much a part of St. Anton am Arlberg as events with cult character, international World Cup races or the multi-award-winning Tyrolean cuisine. The "cradle of alpine skiing" is also a founding member of "Best of the Alps", the quality association of 13 top alpine destinations.
