From the Bergdoktor to Zenit St. Petersburg, from the Japanese skyrunning star to Arminia Bielefeld: The celebrity guests will be in the tranquil village of Scheffau am Wilden Kaiser in the coming days and weeks. An overview of the dates.
The Kaiserkrone Trail trail running event kicks off next weekend, followed by football training camps and the Bergdoktor fan day. Here is an overview of the dates.
Kaiserkrone Trail (25/26 June 2021)
International and Austrian top athletes as well as hobby runners will be competing for the best time on the Wilder Kaiser this coming weekend. Especially the spectacular Skyrace attracts top runners: It is not only part of the Skyrunner Austria Series, but has also recently become part of the Skyrunner World Series. With a time limit of 6 hours, the runners are definitely challenged on the course, which leads over almost 25 kilometres, 2730 metres of altitude difference and 2 Kaiser peaks . But also the Marathon Trail, which leads around the Wilder Kaiser on 56 kilometres and approx. 3800 metres of altitude difference, will definitely be a highlight of the event. Zenit St. Petersburg trains in Scheffau (28 June to 11 July)
Scheffau has had experience with big football clubs for quite some time - but this year, for the first time, a top Russian team, Zenit St. Petersburg, will come to the mountain village in the Tyrolean lowlands to train in front of the backdrop of the Wilder Kaiser and to recharge their batteries for the new season. From28 June to 11 July, the team will be on site and will also play several test matches against other European clubs. Among others, against Schalke 04 in Kufstein, or against Karlsruher SC in St. Johann. Spectators will be allowed at the matches, tickets for the match in Kufstein are available here, tickets for the match in St. Johann are available at the box office on site.
Arminia Bielefeld will be guests in Scheffau again (16 to 24 July)
Speaking of top European clubs: Arminia Bielefeld will also train in Scheffau again this year - for the third time. No wonder: After the first training camp at the Wilder Kaiser, the "spirit of Scheffau" succeeded in promoting the club to the German Bundesliga. As a result, the friends from Bielefeld were naturally in Scheffau again in the summer of 2020 to train and recharge their batteries for the new season. And lo and behold: they managed to stay in the league! Let's see what top performances this year's training camp will produce for the Bielefeld players - Scheffau is already looking forward to welcoming Arminia Bielefeld again from 16 to 24 July . And of course, there will be one or two challengeson the programme. Test matches will also take place, information on which will follow shortly after the training camp.
Bergdoktor Fan Day on 14 July in Scheffau
Scheffau also has a highlight in July for all those who are less interested in the football but all the more in the Bergdoktor: the Bergdoktor Fan Day! On 14 July, fans will once again have the opportunity to experience "Dr. Martin Gruber" and "Family" live. Divided into two dates (10 am and 2 pm), Hans Sigl, Ronja Forcher, Monika Baumgartner and Natalie O'Hara will be on stage in Scheffau.
