Dear students,
Summer is coming and you're probably either in the middle of your exams and submissions or already relaxing at the quarry pond or on holiday. Either way, we have some interesting information for you - both for the summer and for the coming winter semester!
1. ÖH informs
- New ÖH chairmanship team
We would like to thank Julia and Baris for their dedication, time and commitment to the ÖH Chair Team!
On 01.07. the new 2-year period of office of the ÖH began, which for the first time in 14 years consists of a coalition between AG and JUNOS. Therefore we welcome Lukas Schobesberger as 1st deputy chair and Daniel Müller as 2nd deputy chair in the team!
- Your chance to become a speaker!
The ÖH Innsbruck is looking for new speakers for the new term of office who would like to work in the ÖH on a voluntary basis. Are you interested in helping to shape the ÖH and getting involved with your fellow students? Then you can find all advertised positions here: https://www.oehweb.at/referentin-gesucht/
- Corona Update: Test opportunities
Since 1.7.21, the regulations regarding Corona rapid tests have changed: Many test stations of the "Tirol testet" campaign, such as the Kiweno test station in Kaufhaus Tyrol, are closed due to a new regulation. You can still get tested at public test stations such as the Olympiaworld or at pharmacies.
Important change: From now on, the antigen quick tests for people without a social security number cost 25€. Except at Olympiaworld - here the tests are still free for everyone, even without an Austrian SV number. For people with an SV number, they are generally still free of charge.
- Boznerplatz: €12 instead of €25
Due to the efforts of the ÖH, the pharmacy at Boznerplatz is now offering these antigen quick tests for people without a SV number for 12€ instead of 25€ in cooperation with the ÖH and the city of Innsbruck.
We are campaigning for the test offer for students and international students to be improved again and not to become an additional financial burden.
- Corona Update: Uni
- Study places at the university as well as in the library can only be used with a pre-reservation and a 3-G-proof. In return, the obligation to wear a mask at the seat is no longer applicable!
- The 3-G rule will continue to apply for attendance at presence appointments (examinations, study department, examinations office, etc.). Rapid antigen tests for self-testing are now also permitted!
- The minimum distance is also reduced again to 1 m at the university. Instead of the FFP-2 mask, a mouth-nose protection can be worn.
- The test stations at the University of Innsbruck will be open until 15 July 2021. After that, testing will be made possible over the summer according to need.
You can always find the current opening hours here: https://www.uibk.ac.at/newsroom/informationen-zum-coronavirus.html.de
- Outlook winter semester 2021/2022:
- Information from the Rectorate:
As much attendance as possible is planned for the winter semester, so that a stay in Innsbruck pays off again for all students.
The course catalogue for the winter semester has been available online since 30 June 2021. There you can see in which format the respective course is planned. A virtual alternative offer will only be made available in the coming winter semester for people who can prove that they cannot attend attendance events due to travel restrictions or an officially imposed quarantine.
An extension of classroom teaching is also possible at short notice, should conditions permit.
- We can see that some things are not yet working as they should. If your course does not yet include appointments, it will still take a little while. In the meantime, we are working to expand the face-to-face courses for everyone and also to maintain the digital component as best as possible.
- Renewed vaccination possibility without registration!
The vaccination event without registration last Sunday was a huge success. For this reason, there are already two more opportunities to get vaccinated with a vaccine of your choice without registration!
- Thu, 08.07.2021 17:00-20:00 in all vaccination centres except Kufstein
- Sun, 11.07.2021 09:00-18:00 in all vaccination centres except Kitzbühel
All foreign students can also be vaccinated with their confirmation of enrolment. (Enter the University of Innsbruck in the employer address)
