Fans of vertical mountain sports will get their money's worth at this year's via ferrata festival on Innsbruck's Nordkette mountain range, while runners can really burn off energy at the obstacle-packed Innsbruckathlon, the Innsbruck Alpine Trailrun Festival or the Nordkette Vertical Run. The international elite athletes can also be cheered on at the legendary Golden Roof Challenge in the heart of Innsbruck city centre. Adidas Terrex Innsbruck Alpine Trailrun Festival09.12 September 2021 - Olympiaworld InnsbruckThe motto of the Adidas Terrex Innsbruck Alpine Trailrun Festival with running routes between 15 and 110 kilometres is once again "cross-country and around Innsbruck". Through the city and along field and hiking trails, the routes combine sporting highlights with wonderful panoramic views of the Alpine metropolis. As a special highlight in the European trail running season, the festival offers both experienced trail runners and trail beginners a varied programme - full of sporting spirit, fun and unique alpine-urban experiences in the Innsbruck region.
Nordkette Vertical Run - From City To Peak18. September 2021 - Hungerburg/InnsbruckOn a gradient of up to 78 per cent, the 3rd Nordkette Vertical Run will once again test and challenge the ambition of mountain runners. From the Hungerburg district, the route winds its way 3.5 kilometres and over 1,000 metres uphill to the Seegrube. The running event up the picturesque Nordkette mountain range is part of the unique Suffer Series.
Gravel Innsbruck - Ride with Passion12. September 2021 - Rennweg/InnsbruckGravel Innsbruck is not a conventional bike race, but rather a multi-terrain adventure and festival with cult factor. As a legacy of the legendary World Cycling Championships Innsbruck-Tyrol 2018, the event invites its participants on road bikes, gravel bikes or mountain bikes to pursue their passion together on unique routes around Innsbruck.

Enduro One Series25. - 26 September - Bikepark InnsbruckIn the "Enduro One" mountain bike race, participants can put their versatile skills and racing prowess to the test in alpine conditions. As a race for everyone, Enduro One challenges its participants on steep descents, root and gravel terrain. Innsbruck is delighted to be hosting the 2021 Enduro One series for the first time this year.
17.International Golden Roof Challenge11. September 2021 - Maria-Theresien-StraßeThe Golden Roof Challenge, which originally took place against the backdrop of the Golden Roof, will be held for the second time this year in Innsbruck's colourful boulevard, Maria-Theresien-Straße. The athletic elite in the pole vault and long jump disciplines compete against each other and bring international world-class athletes to the provincial capital. The competition is regarded as the "home of the Golden Fly Series", the world's first athletics tour through various cities.
