The 7th and 8th Austria Cup in orienteering and the Austrian (state) championships on long and sprint distance took place in Kitzbühel.
The autumn season of orienteering events in Tyrol is starting and so Kitzbühel was also allowed to be the scene of the spectacle at the Austria Cup weekend on 18 and 19 September 2021. The 7th Austria Cup (Trattalmmulde ÖSTM and ÖM Lang) was held on Saturday, 18 September 2021, on a new map at the Kitzbüheler Horn and on Sunday, 19 September 2021, the 8th Austria Cup with ÖM Springt-OL Nachwuchs followed in the Gamsstadt.
In addition, the Tyrolean Jumping Championships in the senior classes (D/H 40 to D/H 70), which had been cancelled in spring, were made up for during the event. At the event, which was declared as a "Green Event", a new map with 3.5 km² awaited the participants at the Kitzbüheler Horn from an altitude of 1,550 to 1,750 m, as well as an extension of the map - leading through the medieval town centre - on Sunday by a part on which a competition had never taken place before.
