The fourth PURA VIDA Kitzbühel evening in the city centre turned into a summery synthesis of the arts: splendid weather, pleasant temperatures, a cultural-sporting programme with tennis, DJ sounds, saxophone and reggae sounds as well as an exceptionally permitted fashion sin - white tennis socks.
PURA VIDA Kitzbühel
The reorientation of the Kitzbühel Summer Nights under the name PURA VIDA Kitzbühel is the first result, adapted to the current situation, of the branding process started in March and also the first co-creative event concept designed by the young entrepreneurs from Kitzbühel themselves.
"The numerous and creative commitment of the members as well as the positive response and the approving feedback on PURA VIDA are a confirmation of the branding process and the co-creative approach to product development," says Kitzbühel Tourism Managing Director Dr. Viktoria Veider-Walser, taking stock of the first interim results.
Everything may, nothing must - this is how the new PURA VIDA Kitzbühel concept presents itself, deliberately flowing, and further new ideas from the members are constantly being incorporated. The businesses use their own responsibility and inspire with varied programme highlights every week.
"With the PURA VIDA Kitzbühel concept, a new path has been taken for Thursday evenings in Kitzbühel. Something uncomplicated, genuine for locals as well as guests to enjoy and feel good. Especially for the trade, we wanted to implement something that invites people to take a stroll. Something fresh that will reawaken people's zest for life, especially after the last few challenging months," says Johanna Oberdorfer, managing director of Josef Messner GmbH and board member of WIRtschaft Kitzbühel, convinced of this concept.
Programme from 4 to 10 pm
Thursday evenings begin in the park at 5:30 pm with a free yoga session with the fun-loving Katrin from OM&CO. From week to week, the offer enjoys increasing popularity and on the next four Thursdays it's "Namasté" again in the heart of Kitzbühel. By the way, rain is no obstacle for all yogis, because then the healthy hour takes place in the museum.
PURA VIDA Kitzbühel also caters to its younger guests. From 4 p.m., they can transform themselves into animal friends or superheroes at the children's face painting session in the courtyard of St. Catherine's Church, and those who prefer to take up the crayons themselves can simply paint the floor, as the colours are water-soluble and environmentally friendly. The little ones' favourites also include the nimble fingers of the balloon animal artists and the original clowns with their entertaining programme.
Big kids will enjoy PURA VIDA Kitzbühel visually and acoustically from the many cosy guest gardens or actively at the longer open shops of the participating retail businesses. The balmy summer evenings are accompanied by musical sounds from various musical acts that do not play in one place but move from business to business, thus also involving the partners.
PURA VIDA Summer Drink
The PURA VIDA summer drink, specially created by Jürgen Kleinhappl, gastronomic manager of the Harisch Hotels, is very popular and expresses carefree joie de vivre. On request, this is of course also available in a non-alcoholic version.
"The basis of the PURA VIDA summer drink is the Aperol Spritz. This well-known classic is refined with a fruity strawberry purée, lime juice and elderberry syrup and garnished with mint leaves. I am very pleased that the drink is so well received and is offered at numerous establishments. In general, there has been an enormous cohesion in Kitzbühel during these times and the gastronomy has also grown together again," says Jürgen Kleinhappl, looking forward to further joint projects.
Visitors to the White Night on 29 July could taste the summer drink as a shot in front of the Casino Royale if they wore white tennis socks. This Thursday, Kitzbühel Tourism is once again inviting all PURA VIDA fans in traditional costume to sample Kitzbühel's new in-drink under the motto "A Tribute to Jahrmarkt".
Outlook in August
On the next four Thursday evenings, too, the town centre will shine with the PURA VIDA Kitzbühel feeling with further highlights. "An extensive children's programme, yoga in the park, special promotions by participating businesses and a varied music programme - from the Starmania winner and local DJ Alde Walfons to a Vienna-based multi-instrumentalist and the saxophonist of the Parov Stelar Band," says Kitzbühel Tourism's Deputy Managing Director Mag. Stefan Pühringer, MA, presenting the next PURA VIDA Kitzbühel evenings.
Dr. Viktoria Veider-Walser is delighted about the success and continuation of the new concept, which is of course also heavily dependent on the weather: "We would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone involved for their excellent cooperation on our joint project. It is a pleasure to be in the city on these special evenings and to feel everyone's joie de vivre. The themes of creativity, culture and culinary delights will also accompany us on the coming PURA VIDA Kitzbühel evenings and we are of course always open to new ideas from our members. One thing is certain: a visit is worthwhile!"
