Wissenstransfer & Praxis im MCI-Studium „Lebensmitteltechnologie & Ernährung“

The MCI Master's in Food Technology & Nutrition is a modern, future-oriented degree program that trains experts in demand for industry and the food industry, but also for service providers in the food sector - from research & development to consulting and the nutrition sector. The degree programme imparts sound know-how about food and nutrition, about production techniques and processes, but also about analytics, quality assurance and nutrition-relevant properties of food.

Special attention is paid to the practical relevance of the study programme. Close cooperation with companies from the food industry, for example in the form of research and practical projects, but also as so-called study cooperations, bring a win-win situation for both sides. The cooperation with the company Develey, for example, which started last year, shows how students can gain impressions and experience in all areas of food production. Another example is also a study cooperation with the well-known Tyrolean family business A. Darbo AG. In this way, students are already introduced to concrete tasks and problems during their studies and get to know everyday working life. What they learn during their studies can be put into practice directly in the company or in a practical project. The companies, in turn, benefit from the latest research knowledge and fresh approaches and ideas, they get to know young professionals and, if everything fits, can recruit them into their teams at an early stage.

There are still a few remaining places available for the start of the programme in autumn 2020
