The recently published special evaluation on 'Studying during Corona' by the international Centre for Higher Education Development (CHE) delivers excellent results for the MCI. Students give the Entrepreneurial University® top marks in dealing with the Corona pandemic, the study organisation and the framework conditions for digital teaching even during Corona times.
For example, 91.4% of students in the MCI's master's degree programmes in business and society rate the handling of the Corona pandemic as "very good" or "good" overall, while the average value of this rating for German universities is 83%. Another impressive result is that 94% of the respondents at the MCI gave the study organisation during this phase a "very good" or "good" (average value of the German universities 81%).
Claudia Mössenlechner, Head of Learning Solutions and Deputy Head of the University College emphasises: "We are pleased that especially the variety of digital teaching formats, the technical framework conditions and the accessibility of the contact persons received excellent ratings. For years, students at the MCI have benefited from innovative and modern teaching methods and now we have been able to use our experience to offer a smooth study process during these challenging times."
The university's information management, the opportunity for digital exchange among students and the possibility to continue and complete studies as planned also received outstanding ratings. Brigitte Auer, Head of MCI Quality Management, explains: "The enormous commitment of our lecturers, the comprehensive support of our services and, above all, the high commitment of the students in this phase have contributed to the fact that we were able to handle the summer semester in the online format without any loss of time and in high quality. Here, the expertise we have acquired in recent years in the areas of digitalised teaching and blended & online learning has been of particular benefit to us."
