As a network of South Tyroleans abroad, Südstern promotes exchange and communication among its members as well as their professional and personal advancement. The platform is constantly developing through ideas from the best South Tyrolean minds abroad and is in close exchange with business and society in South Tyrol and the Euregio.Against this background, Südstern has also been working successfully with MCI | DIE UNTERNEHMERISCHE HOCHSCHULE ® for ten years. Now, an attractive scholarship model has been developed with MCI exclusively for Südstern members, which makes a high-quality MBA programme accessible to South Tyroleans living abroad at particularly favourable conditions. The postgraduate further education programme leading to a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree has the motto "Manage globally - act locally - learn differently" and is aimed at decision-makers already in employment with a focus on international careers. An innovative blended learning concept combines face-to-face modules, online lectures, interactive study materials and intensive online support, thus offering maximum flexibility in terms of time and location. The winner of the first MBA scholarship is virologist Dr. Karola Obojes-Wahler, who is accordingly delighted about this award: "Since my youth, it has always been my dream to become a virologist. I was able to complete my doctorate in virology in Würzburg in 2005. At the moment I work as a senior application specialist in the customer hotline, also for Corona.
Susanne E. Herzog, Head of Executive Education congratulates the winner: "The Südstern Scholarship is a great institution to enable successful South Tyroleans working abroad to study part-time for further career development. We are pleased to award this year's scholarship to Dr Karola Obojes-Wahler, who as a virologist makes an important contribution to society with her research work."
