MCI schließt Abkommen mit italienischer Spitzenuniversität

MCI | The Entrepreneurial School® has good news to report: MCI has concluded a double degree agreement in the field of tourism with the top university LUISS in Rome. This agreement offers students of the Entrepreneurial School® a particularly attractive opportunity in their studies.

The double degree agreement enables students to obtain a Master's degree from MCI and an equivalent diploma from LUISS at the same time. Students complete part of their studies at MCI in Innsbruck and part of their studies at LUISS in Rome. The programme is open to both LUISS and MCI students. The successful conclusion of the agreement was preceded by meticulous preparation by the two universities, so that all details are now regulated in a comprehensive agreement. The double degree agreement offers a parallel degree of the MCI study programme "Entrepreneurship & Tourism" and the LUISS study programme "Tourism Management - Major of the Master in Fashion, Luxury & Tourism Management".

The Italian and Austrian economies are closely intertwined; it is therefore a particular advantage to have studies and degrees from both academic systems. On the one hand, there are always MCI students, not least from South Tyrol, who enter the Italian job market after graduation. On the other hand, the number of Italian students who try their luck abroad after graduation is increasing, and Austria is also enjoying growing popularity.

LUISS, which can be loosely translated as Free International University for Social Science Studies, is a private university affiliated with the Italian employers' association Confindustria with about 9,000 students. It is widely considered - together with Bocconi in Milan - to be one of the two best Italian universities. It specialises in economics and social sciences. The campus is located near the historic centre of Rome in a prime location.

Hubert Siller, Head of the Department of Tourism & Leisure Management at MCI, is proud of the agreement reached: "I am delighted that particularly committed MCI students will be able to obtain a double degree with LUISS. In addition to the academic reputation, Rome and Italy also offer a particularly exciting and educational environment for students in the field of tourism and management."
