Dr Schär awards scholarship at MCI

A few days ago, the leading food specialist Dr. Schär awarded this year's "Dr. Schär Scholarships" and invited the two winners to the company headquarters in Burgstall in South Tyrol. Christiane Gurschler and Marina Pünsch will benefit from the Dr. Schär Performance Scholarship 2020; both are studying for a Master's degree in Food Technology & Nutrition at the Unternehmerische Hochschule®.

Christiane Gurschler has already completed her Bachelor's degree at the MCI. She is writing her master's thesis on the topic of "The effect of different organic packaging materials on the quality of minced pork". In addition to her studies, she is working at the MCI as a project assistant on a current research project.

Marina Pünsch is also studying for a Master's degree in Food Technology & Nutrition and, like Ms Gurschler, will complete it in 2020. She is writing her Master's thesis at the Laimburg Agricultural and Forestry Research Centre in South Tyrol.

The exemplary cooperation between the MCI and the leading food specialist Dr. Schär has been in place since 2015. The focus is on promoting talents in the field of food technology in order to give them the opportunity to link theory and practice during their studies and to provide insight into future professional fields. Particularly outstanding students are supported with the "Dr. Schär Performance Scholarship".

In addition to excellent academic results and a pronounced interest in nutrition technology and complex dietary nutrition solutions, fluency in Italian was also a decisive factor in the awarding of the scholarships.

Dr. Schär and the Unternehmerische Hochschule® congratulate both scholarship holders!
