For the project "It doesn't work without MINT! - mathematical and scientific foundations for all", the MCI received a shortlist award at this year's Ars Docendi - Austrian State Prize for excellent teaching at Austria's universities in the area of digital transformation in teaching.
The project was carried out by Alexander Dumfort (Environmental, Process and Energy Engineering), Harald Schöbel (Bio and Food Technology) and Werner Stadlmayr (Environmental, Process and Energy Engineering) and represents a cross-departmental mathematical and scientific preparatory course for students, which is characterised by numerous online elements such as tests, videos, just-in-time teaching and similar methods.
The Ars Docendi is Austria's most prestigious prize for teaching at universities and is awarded by the Federal Ministry of Education, Science and Research. This year, out of 131 submissions, five were awarded an Ars Docendi and ten a shortlist award.
