MCI and Raiffeisen continue cooperation

Raiffeisen has rendered great service to the founding and development of the Management Center Innsbruck (MCI). "It was in the 1990s when RLB Tirol AG's commitment convinced the last of the sceptics that a practice-oriented university could actually work," MCI Rector Andreas Altmann recalls of the beginning of the long-standing partnership. Not least due to the substantial support from Raiffeisen during the expansion years, the MCI has attained its current importance far beyond the state's borders. Now the successful cooperation has been extended for another two years.

As an official sponsor of the MCI, RLB Tirol AG presents a "Raiffeisen Award" at the MCI for particularly motivated students. The award is aimed at students in further education as well as Bachelor's and Master's students who are planning their international semester outside Europe.

Other points of contact include the joint partnership with the Tyrolean Economic Forum and the certified MCI course "The Raiffeisen Manager". The aim of the course, which was specially designed for Raiffeisen, is to promote a uniform understanding of leadership in the Raiffeisen Banking Group. In addition, this guarantees that Raiffeisen operates at the cutting edge of training in a central topic of our time, namely the management of employees.

Dr. Johannes Ortner, CEO of RLB Tirol AG and spokesman for the Raiffeisen Banking Group Tyrol, is also aware of the importance of a successful entrepreneurial university in the Tyrol as a business location: "University graduates play an important role in the economic development of a region: whether as start-ups, mentors, entrepreneurial role models or future managers. Raiffeisen supports the MCI because local science, research and education are important to us. As an Entrepreneurial University®, the MCI is not only an effective advertisement, but above all an important basis for the future of our region".

It is not only joint projects that connect the two successful institutions. So it is also the view into the future that counts. MCI Rector Andreas Altmann therefore greatly appreciates the cooperation: "The world has developed dramatically. We are happy to have Raiffeisen at our side as a partner who is aware of the enormous opportunities and challenges of our time and knows the importance of first-class education."
