During the recent "SAP Academic Conference EMEA" at the Technical University of Munich, the MCI Entrepreneurial School® was honoured as an SAP Next-Gen Chapter and accepted into the SAP Next-Gen Chapter.
Next-Gen Chapters are competence centres at universities and colleges that, in cooperation with the globally active software company SAP, aim to impart digital application knowledge to university graduates as future potential specialists and managers. In particular, this involves special expertise in areas such as Internet-of-Things, design thinking or SAP product expertise.
Equipped with the latest SAP technologies, the MCI will work intensively with the almost 1,900 educational institutions in the global SAP Next-Gen programme network with its relevant study and further education programmes and is simultaneously networked with almost 3,700 educational institutions worldwide.
Intensified cooperation with companies is also intended to familiarise students with the digital challenges of business as early as possible and thus counteract the shortage of digital experts.
Peter J. Mirski, head of the relevant MCI study programmes Management, Communication & IT and Digital Business & Software Engineering, explains: "Our students acquire valuable and future-oriented user knowledge within the framework of the SAP Next-Gen Chapter. Already during their studies they gain experience in practical projects, which they can immediately apply in their professional environment after graduation."
MCI Rector Andreas Altmann adds: "Our students have access to the latest digital resources thanks to the cooperation with SAP. The worldwide networking with the best colleges and universities is another asset. The fact that the MCI has been selected as an SAP competence centre fills us with pride and joy."
