Vielfältigkeit und Unberührtheit gepaart mit Top-Infrastruktur zieht Gäste im Winter 22/23 verstärkt ins Pitztal

Updated 30.05.2023

Pitztal was the only region in Tyrol to achieve an increase in both overnight stays (+1.21%) and arrivals (+2.71%) in the winter half-year 22/23 compared to the last "pre-Corona" season 18/19. The trend back to a quieter, more natural holiday continues and the Pitztal knows how to exploit its qualities here. In addition to the certainty of snow, with which the Pitztal can score as the roof of Tyrol with the Pitztal Glacier and the Hochzeiger, the large increase in arrivals in the front communities of Arzl and Wenns should be highlighted. "Still skiing, already hiking" is an important slogan here; the good location and proximity to the Inn Valley makes the holiday even more varied and thus appeals to a diverse group of guests.

"This increase as the only Tyrol-wide region shows that we are on the right track and is a positive trend that we want to carry over into the summer," says TVB chairman Rainer Schultes. "Especially in the Hochzeiger hiking area there are many new adventure opportunities this year because of this." The second mountain bike trail, the Steinbock Trail, is probably the big highlight here. This trail now starts directly at the mountain station of the Hochzeiger 2.5 eight-seater chairlift, which will also be in operation in summer from June. But also the new ZirbenCart track and new attractions in the ZirbenPark promise an extensive holiday offer. "The good winter result is also a mandate for us to further develop our offer and become even better. There is still a lot to do," concludes Rainer Schultes.
