Get on the saddle and compete with other bike enthusiasts or fight for victory in trail running: This summer, spectacular biking and running events will once again take place in the fantastic mountain scenery of the Nauders-Reschenpass region.
The border region of Nauders-Reschenpass, located in the border triangle of Austria, Switzerland and Italy, has set itself the goal of offering amateur athletes a unique mix of sporting events in the summer of 2023. Over the years, the destination has established itself as a mecca for biking and running events. In the "Approved Bike Area", cyclists can explore a total of 2,000 kilometres of mountain bike and cycle trails. Runners and trail runners will not be neglected this year either and can prove their endurance and strength in numerous competitions.
"For this year's summer, we want to position the Reschenpass plateau as a destination for mass sports in the mountains and appeal to a broad target group," agree Manuel Baldauf, Managing Director of TVB Tiroler Oberland and EWIV Nauders-Reschenpass (European Economic Interest Grouping), and Gerald Burger, Managing Director of TV Reschenpass and EWIV Nauders-Reschenpass.
Bike highlights for young and old
The first event this year is the mountain bike opening "Green Days" (26-29 May 2023), which offers music, culinary delights and reduced lift prices in addition to "flowing" trails. Sport, joy, passion and wellness are the order of the day at the "Women's Bike Camp" (01.-04. June 2023). With the "Dreiländergiro", the " Race Across TheAlps " and the "Nauderer Nightrace", three of the biggest and toughest racing bike competitions in the Alps will take place at the "Girodays " from 23 to 25 June 2023. During the "Junior Enduro Bike Week" (17.07. to 21.07.2023), children and teenagers aged 11 to 15 have the opportunity to discover the region on their bikes with trained guides in open terrain and on single trails.
Beautiful stage stops and participants from over 40 countries also make the "Bike Transalp" event, which takes place from 9 to 15 July 2023, a highlight of the mountain bike scene. For the first time, it will start in Nauders and lead over the "3-Länder Enduro Trails" to Lake Reschen. From 4 to 6 August 2023, the "Father and Son Days" will take place on these varied and natural trails, as well as the legendary "3-Länder Enduro Race" from 25 to 27 August 2023.
On your marks, get set, run!
But it's not only bikers who like to be out and about on the plateau of the Reschenpass. The trail running scene also already has a firm place there. From 04 to 08 July 2023, enthusiastic runners can compete at the trail running festival "Terra Raetica Trails" in five races that lead through five adventure areas of the region over five days. At the "Reschenseelauf" on 15 July, runners race for victory around Lake Reschen. The "Resia Rosolina Relay" (08-09 September 2023) is a 430-kilometre relay race along the Adige river. The "Transalpine Run", which takes place from 14 to 15 September, leads over exciting trails in the border triangle in seven stages.

The events not only revitalise the regions in the summer months, but also contribute to regional value creation. Special thanks go to the organisers, clubs and helpers, because without them these events would not be possible," said Baldauf and Burger.
