Local and international athletes as well as spectators from all over the world will experience the sporting diversity of the Innsbruck region this summer. With the Innsbruck Alpine Trailrun Festival and the World Mountain and Trail Running Championships, it's "On your mark, get set, trailrun!" twice in June. The IFSC Climbing World Cup and Crankworx Innsbruck provide an adrenaline kick for climbing and mountain bike enthusiasts. While the participants of the Innsbruckathlon venture on a sporty sightseeing tour of the city and the track and field athletes of the Golden Roof Challenge compete in the pole vault and long jump with the Golden Roof in the background.

June is a great time to run in the Innsbruck region. It all starts with the adidas TERREX Innsbruck Alpine Trailrun Festival (IATF), the running event for all classes of runners - from trail run novices to experienced runners. Following the IATF, the World Mountain and Trail Running Championships 2023 (WMTRC 2023) presents the summer sports highlight. At the World Championships, the top runners from all over the world will meet to push their physical limits - against a breathtaking backdrop - and collect valuable world cup points. Around the trend sport and the two leading running events, side events and the Expo will offer sporting vibes and a varied programme for runners, accompanying persons and spectators, always focusing on the connection between sport, environment and sustainability.

This summer, Innsbruck will set the stage for the world-renowned athletics tour for the 19th time. With the eponymous Golden Roof, the Golden Roof Challenge brings world-class pole vault and long jump athletes to Maria-Theresien-Straße. Probably the most important innovation this summer: top athletes have the chance to collect important world ranking points for the qualification for the World Championships 2023 and the Olympic Games 2024 in a euphoric atmosphere and unique panorama.

For the third time, the Innsbruck Climbing Centre will host the competitions of the world's climbing elite. In one week, three World Cups and one European Cup will be held in the Alpine capital. At this year's climbing spectacle, top stars like the Czech Adam Ondra and the red-white-red figurehead Jakob Schubert will engage in thrilling duels and guarantee pure thrills for the spectators. In the three international World Cup competitions Bouldering, Lead and Paraclimbing as well as in the European Speed Cup, more than 400 athletes from over 30 nations will be climbing for podium places and valuable World Cup points.

This year, for the seventh time, the Bikepark Innsbruck will serve as the - only European - playground for the international mountain bike elite. In seven disciplines, the world's best male and female athletes compete for the title of "King & Queen of Crankworx". For mountain bike enthusiasts, the multi-day event offers not only plenty of action during the competitions, but also a pure festival atmosphere with a multitude of side events. From the Bike Expo with the latest trends in the bike industry to legendary after-parties and an action-packed kids' programme, the Bikepark Innsbruck presents itself in its festival garb.
