MCI Professuren an Wendy Farrell und Yevgen Bogodistov

In recognition of their dedicated achievements in research, teaching and science transfer, the Entrepreneurial University® recently awarded professorships to Wendy Farrell and Yevgen Bogodistov. Both strengthen the Department of Business Administration Online and stand for innovation, creativity and internationality at MCI with their impressive backgrounds and future-oriented research.

Prof. Dr. Wendy Farrell

Wendy Farrell began her academic career at Rhine-Main University of Applied Sciences, where she became part of the Center for Advanced E-Business Studies (CAEBUS) and received her Ph.D. in collaboration with the International College NIDA (National Institute of Development Administration) in 2019.

Before returning to academia, she worked as an Intercultural Program Manager to help people pursuing their careers abroad get off to a successful start in their new homes through intercultural training. The experience she gained had a strong influence on her subsequent research, teaching and consulting work, where she focuses on the human side of business and how culture and technology influence business.

Since returning to academia, she has worked as a lecturer and researcher at Assumption University in Thailand and Arnhem Business School in the Netherlands before finding her way to the Department of Business Administration Online at MCI in August 2019: "MCI, and in particular the Department of Business Administration Online, is an ideal fit for me. Not only has the department become like a family to me, but it also matches my research interests and teaching goals exactly."

Prof. Dr. Yevgen Bogodistov

Yevgen (Eugen) Bogodistov started in 2011 with the Ph.D. programme "Dynamic Capabilities and Relationships" organised by the European University Viadrina, Frankfurt (Oder) and the German Graduate School of Management and Law (Heilbronn). In the process, he investigated the effects of emotions on dynamic leadership competencies.

After graduation, he went to Neu-Ulm University of Applied Sciences, where he developed holistic capability-based approaches for risk management in companies in the course of a post-doctoral research professorship. He then decided to apply the concept of organisational capabilities to the financial sector, which is why Yevgen Bogodistov moved to Frankfurt am Main and continued his research at the ProcessLab research centre at the Frankfurt School of Finance & Management.

After four years of successful research and a series of publications highlighting the influence of emotions on process management, IT capabilities, payment methods and digitalisation, the professorship for project and process management at the MCI's BWL Online Department followed in early 2021: "MCI is my family. My department is my family. I look forward to serving the MCI with my research, teaching and networking skills. I see the Entrepreneurial University® as an important driver for the development of Tyrol: be it the creation of new knowledge or the expansion of existing competencies - together we make our home prosperous and significant."
