New culinary worlds in the FALCON restaurant and starry sky hours on the slopes in the evening

The FALCON - a place with vision

Since the winter season 2021/22, an innovative gastronomic newcomer has enriched the ski area of Sölden: FALCON - Kulinarium am Berg, directly at the middle station of the Gaislachkoglbahn. Two gastronomic concepts under one roof that know how to satisfy every taste: the market restaurant on the ground floor scores with uncomplicated self-service and current culinary trends. The service restaurant on the upper floor convinces with regionally inspired cuisine including Austrian wines. Whether it's a short stop for refreshments or a deliberate slow-down - thanks to the transparent architecture, the panorama of the Ötztal mountains is right at your table in summer and winter.

Architecture and nature

In addition to the architectural icons ice Q, 007 ELEMENTS and the headquarters of the tourism association, Tyrolean architect Johann Obermoser is also responsible for the design of the new FALCON restaurant. In addition to access via the gondola lift, both restaurants are directly connected to the outstanding infrastructure. The use of large glass elements and natural materials creates a warm, feel-good atmosphere. A special treat: spacious, south-facing sun terraces invite you to relax and enjoy. The name FALCON is appropriately derived from the all-round view and natural elegance of the eponymous falcon and its kingdom in the air and mountains.

Self-service with innovative payment system

Fast, relaxed and uncomplicated: the Marktrestaurant with its 300 indoor and 200 terrace seats welcomes guests for a cosy rest all year round. In addition to well-known classics, the market restaurant also offers world cuisine and vegetarian dishes. The show kitchen effectively stages the fresh preparation of the selected dishes. Thanks to the innovative payment system, the food arrives at the table at the perfect temperature and, incidentally, not a minute is lost on the mountain: All food and drinks are conveniently booked onto the ski ticket and only paid for when leaving the restaurant area.

Gaislachkogl by Night

The Gaislachkogl in Sölden is not only a mountain full of experiences when the sun is shining, but also in the evening hours. Every Wednesday evening, night turns into day between 1,363 and 3,040 metres above sea level. The 4 km long, freshly prepared downhill run into the valley and the 7 km long toboggan run provide sporting experiences. The action-packed world of James Bond opens up in 007 ELEMENTS at over 3,000 metres above sea level. Just a stone's throw away, one of the world's highest gourmet restaurants, the ice Q, invites you to a 5-course summit dinner. Culinary delights also await guests at the new FALCON á la carte restaurant at the Gaislachkogl mid-station. An exclusive 4-course sharing dinner and fabulous views of the evening mountain world thus form the crowning finale to night skiing or tobogganing.
