Liebe Studierende,

es ist so weit: Vom 13. bis 15. Mai 2025 finden die ÖH-Wahlen statt! Ihr wählt eure Vertreter_innen in der Studienvertretung, Hochschulvertretung und Bundesvertretung – und gestaltet damit aktiv mit, wie die nächsten Jahre für uns Studierende aussehen.

Wählen lohnt sich doppelt: Neben Mitbestimmung erwarten euch bei unseren Wahlständen auch gratis Waffeln, Hotdogs und Makava – solange der Vorrat reicht!

Wahlberechtigt sind alle Studierenden, unabhängig von Staatsangehörigkeit oder Hauptwohnsitz, sofern der ÖH-Beitrag bis spätestens 25. März 2025 eingezahlt wurde.

Zum Wählen braucht ihr nur einen Lichtbildausweis, am besten gleich euren Studierendenausweis – und schon seid ihr dabei.

1) Internationales Filmfestival Innsbruck (IFFI) – Kino abseits des Mainstreams

Lust auf außergewöhnliches Kino? Dann ist das IFFI – International Film Festival Innsbruck genau das Richtige für dich! Vom 4.06. – 9.06.2025 verwandelt sich Innsbruck wieder in einen Treffpunkt für Filmschaffende und Cineast_innen aus aller Welt.

Gezeigt werden Spiel-, Dokumentar- und Kurzfilme aus Asien, Afrika, Lateinamerika und Osteuropa – Werke, die oft abseits des westlich geprägten Mainstreams stehen und neue Perspektiven eröffnen. Das diesjährige Festivalmotto: „Crossing Borders“ – thematisch wie stilistisch.

Für Studierende gibt es ein besonderes Zuckerl: Solange der Vorrat reicht, könnt ihr euch im ÖH-Sekretariat einen Gutschein abholen, mit dem ihr um nur 5 € einen Film eurer Wahl beim IFFI anschauen könnt.

2) Kostenlose HPV-Impfung? Smart Move!

Im Rahmen der Aktion „Aktiv gegen HPV“ kommt das Health Mobil an die Hauptuni! (genauere Infos unter https://www.oeggk.at/health-mobil-hpv/). Die Impfung ist nur noch bis Ende 2025 kostenlos, also nutzt die Gelegenheit!

Wann? 15.05.2025, 10:00 – 16:00 UhrWo? Congress Innsbruck, Rennweg 3

Ohne Anmeldung  – Besser früh kommen, denn die Impfdosen sind begrenzt!

Für alle unter 30 mit Wohnsitz (Zweitwohnsitz reicht) in ÖsterreichMitbringen: Lichtbildausweis, Impfpass & e-Card (oder Wohnsitznachweis/Lohnzettel)

85-90% aller Menschen infizieren sich im Laufe ihres Lebens mit HPV. Die Impfung ist allgemein empfohlen und schützt vor HPV-bedingtem Krebs & Genitalwarzen

Zweitimpfung im November (Impfbus) oder bei Ärzt_innen (Stadtmagistrat, Hausärzt_innen, etc.) möglich ab 6 und spätestens bis 12 Monaten nach Erstimpfung!

    It’s that time again: from May 13 to 15, 2025, the ÖH elections will take place! You will be voting for your representatives in the study, university, and federal student bodies – and actively shaping what the coming years will look like for students.

    Voting comes with perks – stop by our election stands and enjoy free waffles, hot dogs, and Makava (while supplies last)!

    All students are eligible to vote, regardless of citizenship or main residence, as long as the ÖH fee was paid by March 25, 2025.

    To vote, all you need is a photo ID, ideally your student ID – and you’re good to go.

    Alongside the election, an exciting program awaits you – all events and info at a glance in this newsletter.

    1) International Film Festival Innsbruck (IFFI) – Cinema beyond the mainstream

    In the mood for exceptional cinema? Then the IFFI – International Film Festival Innsbruck is just right for you! From June 4 to 9, 2025, Innsbruck will once again become a meeting place for filmmakers and cinephiles from around the world.

    Feature films, documentaries, and short films from Asia, Africa, Latin America, and Eastern Europe will be shown – works that often fall outside the Western mainstream and offer new perspectives. his year’s festival motto: „Crossing Borders“ – thematically and stylistically.

    Students can pick up a voucher at the ÖH office (while supplies last) to watch a film of their choice at IFFI for only €5.

    2) Free HPV vaccination? Smart move!

    As part of the “Aktiv gegen HPV” campaign, the Health Mobil is coming to the main university building! (More info at: https://www.oeggk.at/health-mobil-hpv/) The vaccination is only free until the end of 2025 – so make use of the opportunity!

    When? May 15, 2025 | 10:00 – 16:00Where? Congress Innsbruck, Rennweg 3

    No registration required – come early, as doses are limited!

    For everyone under 30 with residence (secondary residence is sufficient) in AustriaBring: photo ID, vaccination certificate & e-card (or proof of residence/pay slip)

    85–90% of all people will be infected with HPV at some point in their lives. The vaccination is generally recommended and protects against HPV-related cancers and genital warts.

    The second dose can be received in November (vaccination bus) or at doctors’ offices (public health department, general practitioners, etc.) between 6 and 12 months after the first shot.
