Liebe Studierende,

vom 13. bis 15. Mai 2025 finden die ÖH-Wahlen statt! Dabei wählt ihr eure Vertreter_innen in der Studienvertretung, Hochschulvertretung und Bundesvertretung.

Eure Stimme entscheidet mit, wie sich die Interessen der Studierenden in den kommenden Jahren gestalten – also: unbedingt wählen gehen!

Neben der Wahl wartet im Mai ein volles Programm auf euch: Bei bestem Wetter laden spannende Veranstaltungen zum Vernetzen, Feiern und Diskutieren ein. Alle Highlights findet ihr hier im Überblick.

1) Uni-Partys & Hörsaalkino

Der Mai wird abwechslungsreich – hier unser Programm für euch:

Am Freitag, 02.05.2025, zeigen wir um 19:00 Uhr im Hörsaal HSB7 den Film „Akademische Abgründe: Rechtsextremismus im Hörsaal“. Dazu stellen sich einige eurer Studienvertretungen (STVn) vor – Snacks und Getränke sorgen für die richtige Stimmung.

Weiter geht’s am Mittwoch, 07.05.2025, beim GeiWi-Fest in der Josef-Hirn-Straße: Ab 17:00 Uhr erwarten euch Musik von Innsbrucker Künstler_innen, gutes Essen und eine ausgelassene Stimmung – abends wird die Musik schneller!

Und am Donnerstag, 08.05.2025, feiern wir die SOWI-Party: Starte ab 17:00 Uhr mit uns beim Warm-up auf der Sowi-Wiese mit Musik und Drinks, bevor ab 20:30 Uhr der offizielle Einlass am Sowi-Campus beginnt.

Der 8. Mai erinnert zugleich an das Ende des Zweiten Weltkriegs und die Befreiung vom Nationalsozialismus – ein Datum, das uns mahnt, Demokratie und Solidarität zu verteidigen. Lasst uns feiern und zugleich Haltung zeigen für eine Gesellschaft, die allen offensteht.

2) Digital Society for Innovation – Infoveranstaltungen

Interessierst du dich für ein internationales Joint-Study-Programm und möchtest aktiv an der digitalen Transformation mitwirken?

4) Aurora stellt vor: Neue, spannende Kurse im Wintersemester 2025/26!

Aktuell bietet die Universität Rovira i Virgili (URV) zwei Online-Kurse für Studierende der Aurora-Partneruniversitäten an.

Die Kurse werden auf Englisch unterrichtet und bieten eine ausgezeichnete Gelegenheit für internationales Lernen und Zusammenarbeit. Die Kurse sind: Nutrition and Physical Activity sowie Industrial Leadership.

1) Uni Parties & Lecture Hall Cinema

May will be full of variety – here’s what we have planned for you:

On Friday, May 2, 2025, we are showing the film „Academic Abysses: Right-Wing Extremism in the Lecture Hall“ at 7:00 PM in Lecture Hall HSB7. Some of your student representatives (StVn) will also introduce themselves – snacks and drinks will be provided to create a relaxed atmosphere.

On Wednesday, May 7, 2025, the GeiWi Festival will take place in Josef-Hirn-Straße: Starting at 5:00 PM, you can look forward to music by Innsbruck artists, delicious food, and a lively atmosphere – the music will get faster as the evening progresses!

And on Thursday, May 8, 2025, we will celebrate the SOWI Party: Start the evening with us at the Warm-up on the Sowi lawn at 5:00 PM, followed by the official entrance to the party at 8:30 PM at the Sowi Campus.

May 8 also marks the end of World War II and the liberation from National Socialism – a date that reminds us to stand up for democracy and solidarity. Let’s celebrate and at the same time show our commitment to an inclusive society.
